Accredited positive behaviour support training
Safeguarding Children (Level 2+), Paediatric First Aid, and Team Teach physical intervention are non-negotiable prerequisites. Workers without current, valid certificates are not placed — regardless of experience level. All three are renewed on schedule and tracked centrally.
Modules marked Mandatory are required before first placement. All others are completed within the first 90 days.
Recognising and responding to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Covers reporting duties, information sharing, and working with multi-agency teams.
Nationally recognised Team Teach accreditation. Covers positive behaviour support, verbal de-escalation, and safe physical intervention techniques.
Emergency first aid including CPR, choking, anaphylaxis, and managing medical emergencies in a residential care setting.
Understanding the care system, trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, and the rights and entitlements of looked-after children.
GDPR-compliant record keeping, incident reporting, daily logs, and care plan documentation to Ofsted standards.
Cultural competency, unconscious bias, and creating inclusive environments for children from diverse backgrounds.
For Senior Support Workers and Team Leaders. Covers supervision, rota management, Ofsted inspection readiness, and staff development.
Risk assessment, lone working protocols, night-time routines, and maintaining safe environments during unsupervised hours.
Every worker passes all ten checks before we consider them for placement. Providers receive a compliance summary with each introduction.
